Our Quality Assurance team ensures products meet the highest standards, so our customers receive the best quality. Garment Technicians work with our Buyers to create fashion to fit our target markets.

Garment Technician to Quality Assurance Examiner

Take a look below at what is required for each of these roles.

Garment Technician

Garment Technicians work with suppliers and buyers to ensure garments meet Farmers specifications for new season styles, fit, construction and quality. They are experts in fabric behaviour, garment construction and pattern grading.

Textile Technician

Textile Technicians perform a raft of fabric tests to ensure our garments are constructed to high standards, with quality fabrics. These tests include colour fastness, stability to washing, fabric stretch, wear and tear and many others. They provide Buyers with advice so only quality fabrics are selected.

Quality Assurance Examiner

Quality Assurance Examiners perform a range of checks on incoming stock ensuring only the highest quantity merchandise, in line with Farmers and legislative standards, is dispatched to our stores. They also identify issues with vendor stock so appropriate action can be taken.

Fit Models

Buyers and Garment Technicians use real people to fit our garments. As a Fit Model you will try on new clothing ranges to ensure consistency of fit as the Buyer and Garment Technician consider practical avenues such as the drape of a fabric.

CAD Fashion Graphic Designers

As a Graphic designer you will create print patterns and looks that on trend. Using the latest digital design technology you will also ensure the designs fit the garments to provide maximum appeal.
