The hiring steps:

  1. Create your profile

    Being part of the Farmers team starts with one simple step, creating your profile. From there all you need to do is look for vacancies and apply. All our vacancies are advertised here as well as on social media (click on the social icons at the bottom of the page).

    When creating your profile, select "Job Alerts". We will then notify you of all new roles as soon as they are listed.

    During this process, you will be taken through a series of questions, given an opportunity to upload your CV and cover letter, select your location and job type preferences and relevant experience.

    Tip: Make sure you keep your details up to date and log into your account if you are still interested in staying on our database.

  2. Choose a Job and Apply

    The majority of our store based roles are advertised through an "Expression of Interest" which means you only have to apply once. Make sure you choose locations and role types suitable for you.

  3. Application Review

    A member of the recruitment team will review your application, should you be identified as a suitable candidate we will call you to gain a better understanding of your skills, experience and what you are looking for.

    Tip: You can ask questions too! Our team are more than happy to help you with anything you may need to know for a specific role.

  4. Farmers Calls You

    When a vacancy arises that matches your preferences your application will be submitted to the hiring manager. If they feel you are suitable for the role they will call you to set up an interview. Good Luck!

  5. The Interview and Reference Checks

    If your interview goes well we will proceed with references and a credit check, we will call you first to let you know and check reference details. If we have identified someone else for the role, we will call you and let you know and provide you with feedback.

  6. Congratulations - You got the job!

    Once references and checks are completed and meet all our requirements, you will be offered the role. A start date and other details will be discussed and you will be provided an Employment Agreement to review and sign.

  7. Before your first day

    To make sure your first day runs smoothly you will be sent an online training module which introduces you to Farmers and things you need to know before you start with us.
